The Whisky Bar, and Guest Facilities
Relax in the well-stocked whisky bar, a whisky-lovers paradise, the "Minsterbells" Whisky Bar stocks a wide range of rare single Malts, from the smooth silky lightness of a Glenmorangie, to the pungeant grandeur of a Laphroig. Other drinks include John Smiths, Fosters, and a plentiful array of top brand spirits, port, and brandy.
Free Wifi, and a pay-as-you-go Internet Cafe kiosk in our lobby, brings broadband connectivity to our guests who require internet access. A photocopying and fax service is also available at reception.
Our residents lounge offers a quiet place to relax after a days sightseeing or shopping in York. We have a large selection of leaflets containing information about the many places to visit both in and around York during your stay. We have also put together some sample menus of places to dine in York, which have been recommended by previous guests and our staff.
In the breakfast room, we offer a choice of cereals, fruit juice and grapefruit segments, followed by a FULL English breakfast. Poached, boiled, scrambled or fried eggs are available. Kippers are also on the menu (subject to availability). This is accompanied by your choice of white/brown toast and tea or fresh filter coffee. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am, although a 7.30am breakfast is available on request. If you need to leave earlier than this a breakfast tray can be requested, with cereal, bread and fruit juice for you to take to your room the night before. Tea and coffee making facilities are in your room.
