"BOOK DIRECT FROM YOUR WEBSITE"
"Roombasket" is a tool that allows your guests to make Online Bookings
Direct from your own website. It's your website's equivalent of hanging a
vacancies sign in your window. "Roombasket" puts you in control of
accepting your own bookings that come from your website, with no commission
charges to pay. "Roombasket" uses Resident Pro to keep your website
up-to-date with your availability, special offers, and terms. "Roombasket"
can be seamlessly integrated into your present website, or launched in a new
window with a "book direct" button.

How it works
A guest visits your website to book a room
direct. They pick their arrival date from the Calendar, and number of nights,
and select a room from the list
of your available room types. Only the available rooms for the their selected
dates are displayed. They then choose a rate relating to that

The
guests room is added to their "Roombasket", and additional rooms can
then be added before submitting their Personal details on a Secure page.
The guests personal details are automatically checked to ensure their email
address and credit card details are valid, and your terms and conditions are
agreed. Depending on your terms, the card
details are taken for security, or in order to take a deposit.
The moment the booking is submitted, an autoreply email is sent to the guest,
thanking them for their booking. The email also states that the booking is awaiting final confirmation from
the hotel. An email and fax is sent to the hotel, ready to Copy into a
new booking on "Resident Pro".

Guests can add 1 room to their "Roombasket", or multiple rooms,
and room types.
You can choose to sell all of your available rooms, or selectively sell just a
handful of rooms of your choice.
You can easily upload all your availability, without having to fill in any
separate availability charts. Resident Pro already knows what rooms are
available from your Reservations Chart!
You can choose to sell any rooms that have ‘allocated symbols’ on them, or
choose to class those rooms as unavailable.
"Resident Pro" can remind you to update your availability every day.
"Roombasket" can be scheduled to automatically update
your online availability from "Resident Pro", with your forward vacancies, at regular intervals
throughout the day.
"Roombasket" sells different room types of your choice, like doubles, 4-posters,
standard or superior rooms.
Allows you to sell tariffs for different minimum lengths of stay, like special
offers for 3 nights or longer.
Allows you to sell date-sensitive tariffs, like seasonal rates, or special events.
"Roombasket" can exclude certain days of the week from any of your rates, i.e.
unavailable on a Saturday
You can sell separate online tariffs to those you have setup for your
internal staff use.

Is this another Online Booking Agency?
No. "Roombasket" enables you to receive bookings
direct from your own website, completely independent of any other websites
or agencies. Whilst it is a good idea to use Online Booking Agencies to win
business on the internet for your hotel, it makes even more sense to
encourage guests to "book direct". Unlike agencies, "Roombasket"
is commission free - you simply pay a low-cost annual subscription to use
the service on your website.

SECURE FAX OR WITHOUT?
If you have fax facilities, the easiest, day-to-day system to use, is
"Roombasket" with Secure Fax. At the time of booking, the system
delivers a secure, instant, reliable fax showing credit card details. A
normal email is also delivered, with no decryption necessary.
If you prefer to decode your emails using separate PGP software, or if you
do not have fax facilities, then opt for the "Free Fax" or
"No Fax" option. |

Code-behind to link to
your website
Once your "Roombasket" is setup, your web-designer needs to link it to
your website. The Code-Behind below, contains the code for your web-designer to
copy into your website. The first code assumes you want to add a Pop-up link button (or a button of your own). The first part of this Javascript code goes in
the <head> section of the page.
The next code creates an Iframe within your page. Note: when using this method,
depending on the security settings on the users browser, "Roombasket"
will either stay within the Iframe, or a new window will open when the user
clicks on the search button.
